rise nation thrones patriots

Hi,
I have installed successfully the game, and then the latest patch I was able to find on the web site, and everytime that I try to play the I get thrown out right after the introduction and all I get is a message "Gathering exception information"
I even set the game into compatibility mode for XP SP2, which runs the games perfectly
Any help would be appreciated

I get that same exact message, but I haven't a clue how to fix it yet. If I find a solution, I'll let you know.
